SAS Shadow Day

As we are in session on Monday, but some of the public schools are not, we will be hosting a Veteran's Day Shadow Day at St. Ann and have invited our Religious Ed. students and other members of the parish and community to spend the day with us. If you know of anyone who may be interested in attending St. Ann--friends of your students, neighbors, play group pals, etc.--please invite them! They can sign their children up to attend at the SAS Shadow Day Registration link.

Don't forget, we do have a New Student Referral Program that pays our current families for any new students they bring in who enroll at St. Ann. Simply download the form here, fill it out, and send it in!

$1 Dress Down Day for Diabetes Awareness

Students who bring in $1 may dress down in blue and gray, and we will donate proceeds to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Our Next Supper Club Destination--Chipotle, Munster

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

This one is a biggie--Chipotle returns 33% to us! Vouchers came home in this week's Thursday envelope, will be in this weekend's church bulletin, on Facebook, and may also be printed from our website. We do realize this is the same evening as the Parents' Night Out, but it does start early enough for those who would like to do both. Take the kids to Chipotle, and then dinner is done!

Saturday, November 17, 7:00 p.m. at Benny's Place

We have reserved the party room at Benny's Place, 2549 Glenwood Lansing Rd., Lynwood, IL for our very first St. Ann Parents' Night Out! You'll have a chance to see old friends and make new ones in a social setting outside of school and at night, grownups only! If you have an idea or would like to join the committee, please come to the next HSA meeting on November 12 or send an email to or Details to follow.

Pot of Gold Early Bird Drawing #2

If you haven't turned in the Pot of Gold tickets that you already paid for at registration, now is the time to get them in! You can't win the $500 if your ticket isn't in the drum.

Want a second chance at $500? Check out a packet of five (no money needed upfront), and you will be entered in the Bonus Drawing at the Night of the Palace--an additional entry for every five tickets you sell! Call Mrs. Dawson in the parish office (895-6700) if you would like additional tickets sent home with your child, or pick up a packet after weekend Masses. Ask your friends and family to support your children's school.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!

Our next Box Tops challenge deadline is fast approaching! You don't need to wait until November 16 to turn them in, but that is the last day they will be accepted for the Ice Cream Party contest. Remember, the class with THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF PARTICIPATION will win. Please encourage everyone to play--we want to see real team work! The winning class will have their Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, November 20, right before Thanksgiving Break. Ask your friends and relatives to save Box Tops for you, too! The newest collection sheet is available on our website. You can even send them in in a baggie--simply write the count and your child's name and grade on the outside of the bag.

Please note, the yellow printed calendar that came home last week has a mistake the first week of December. There IS a weekly school mass on Wednesday, December 5; there is NOT a Friday morning Immaculate Conception mass. The actual feast day takes place on Saturday, December 8, so the vigil mass is at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night. Please see the online calendar linked below for up to the minute and live updates.
