SAS Update
November 9, 2018
THE WEEK AHEAD
SAS Shadow Day
As we are in session on Monday, but some of the public schools are not, we will be hosting a Veteran's Day Shadow Day at St. Ann and have invited our Religious Ed. students and other members of the parish and community to spend the day with us. If you know of anyone who may be interested in attending St. Ann--friends of your students, neighbors, play group pals, etc.--please invite them! They can sign their children up to attend at the SAS Shadow Day Registration link.
Don't forget, we do have a New Student Referral Program that pays our current families for any new students they bring in who enroll at St. Ann. Simply download the form here, fill it out, and send it in!
Monthly Meeting
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12,
7:00 p.m. in EXT. DAY
Please join us as we plan for our first ever Parents' Night Out, and upcoming events such as Family Movie Night and the Daddy Daughter Dance. Get involved! We want to hear new voices!
Fitness & Fun!
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14,
9-10:30 a.m. in EXT. DAY
It's time to spend a morning out of the house! Bring your babies and your friends with little ones for a Tot & Me Fitness Class taught by a Personal Trainer & Nutrition Specialist. The class is open to all parents/caregivers who are seeking ways to stay active and have fun that includes their toddlers. We would like to give the instructor a head count by Monday, November 12 so she knows what to bring for the class. Please RSVP to Mrs. Loera at 773-956-0981 (text is fine) or Sylviaeloera@yahoo.com by Monday.
Planning Session
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14,
7:30 p.m. at JJ KELLEY'S
It's a little bit meeting/a little bit social gathering when we get together to plan A Night at the Palace! Come find out what it's all about--remember, this is our biggest annual fundraising event, and the money we raise is critical to the health of St. Ann School. Volunteer opportunities abound as well, and with this one taking place in March, it's a good way to get in those last minute hours before the cut-off to earn your money back.
$1 Dress Down Day for Diabetes Awareness
Students who bring in $1 may dress down in blue and gray, and we will donate proceeds to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Our Next Supper Club Destination--Chipotle, Munster
This one is a biggie--Chipotle returns 33% to us! Vouchers came home in this week's Thursday envelope, will be in this weekend's church bulletin, on Facebook, and may also be printed from our website. We do realize this is the same evening as the Parents' Night Out, but it does start early enough for those who would like to do both. Take the kids to Chipotle, and then dinner is done!
Saturday, November 17, 7:00 p.m. at Benny's Place
Pot of Gold Early Bird Drawing #2
If you haven't turned in the Pot of Gold tickets that you already paid for at registration, now is the time to get them in! You can't win the $500 if your ticket isn't in the drum.
Want a second chance at $500? Check out a packet of five (no money needed upfront), and you will be entered in the Bonus Drawing at the Night of the Palace--an additional entry for every five tickets you sell! Call Mrs. Dawson in the parish office (895-6700) if you would like additional tickets sent home with your child, or pick up a packet after weekend Masses. Ask your friends and family to support your children's school.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
DEADLINE: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16
Our next Box Tops challenge deadline is fast approaching! You don't need to wait until November 16 to turn them in, but that is the last day they will be accepted for the Ice Cream Party contest. Remember, the class with THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF PARTICIPATION will win. Please encourage everyone to play--we want to see real team work! The winning class will have their Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, November 20, right before Thanksgiving Break. Ask your friends and relatives to save Box Tops for you, too! The newest collection sheet is available on our website. You can even send them in in a baggie--simply write the count and your child's name and grade on the outside of the bag.
