High Park Cherry Blossoms Peak Bloom Set For Early May
The end of winter is in sight, my friends – and oh what a beautiful sight it will be.
Sakura in High Park, a website dedicated to monitoring the development of cherry blossoms in Toronto's most-storied collection of groves, is predicting a "peak bloom" for early May.
SAKURA WATCH: Keep updated on the buds as the ice storm has delayed them and hopefully not ruined them.

New Toronto Neighbourhood Rankings
The Ultimate Neighbourhood Rankings
The great thing about living in Toronto is that every neighbourhood comes with bragging rights. Rosedale has prestige schools. Trinity-Bellwoods is the capital for small-batch picklers. Etobicoke has low crime rates, Scarborough has lush parks, downtown has the most transit. Every neighbourhood has something going for it. But Torontonians are competitive, and we like knowing how we stack up.
This is the 2018 updated rankings for neighbourhoods. Can't say THE RAPP REPORT agrees with some of the rankings. Check it out for yourself.
11 Red Flags To Avoid When Buying Your Home
Buying a home is an exciting time. It is hard not to get caught up in the hype and fall in love with every property you see. While your homebuyer may have found what they believe is a hidden gem of a property, there are some particular red flags that you, as their real estate agent, need to warn them about.
Whether it is the location of the property or the internal structure of the home that is cause for concern, if a red flag reveals itself to you, it's a good idea to let your client down easy and warn them of the potential problems they may be getting themselves into.
Below, 11 members of Forbes Real Estate Council share the small or lesser-known red flags that they encourage homebuyers to pay attention to when searching for a property.

The Canada Revenue Agency is getting tough with people who fail to comply with new rules requiring the routine sale of a home to be reported, even when there’s zero tax owing.
If you don’t report the sale of a principal residence on your income tax return, you could be subject to a fine of as much as $8,000. And something else to keep in mind: Normally, CRA may reassess your tax returns going back three years; with the reporting of a sale of a home, there’s no limit on how long CRA can wait to reassess you.

Early last year we featured a Toronto man who had made it his mission to eat a burger every day for a year. Not all heroes wear capes. And it turns out, he’s not alone in the search for Toronto’s perfect patty. Michael Nusair—filmmaker by day, burger blogger by night—has eaten 187 of the GTA’s burgers, documenting and rating each one on his blog, appropriately named, Tasty Burgers.
“I started because I love burgers, and I was frustrated that whenever I’d read a review for a burger place, it would inevitably spend one sentence on the patty itself,” says Nusair. “I want way more information than that: how’s the grind? How has it been cooked? Is it over- or under-seasoned? What’s the flavour like? Eventually, I decided that if no one else was going to do it, I’d just have to do it myself.” And, seven years later, he’s still going strong. Here, Michael Nusair’s top 10 burgers.

Toronto's 10 Oldest Restaurants
Diners don't get much more authentic than the. Avenue Diner - 1944. This classic diner at the northwest corner of Ave and Dav oozes old school charm that can be traced back to 1944. The menu hasn't changed much since then, though the collection of celebrity photos that adorn the walls has steadily grown since the doors opened so long ago.

THE 10 MOST FAMOUS BOOKSTORES IN THE WORLD
FOR DEDICATED TOURISTS WHO ALSO WANT TO BUY BOOKS
March 14, 2018 was the anniversary of the birth of Sylvia Beach—probably the most notorious bookstore owner in modern history, and the founder of what is still arguably the most famous bookstore in the world: Paris’s Shakespeare and Company. On the occasion of this, her 131st birthday, I was inspired to look into the history of Beach and the bookstore—as well as the stories behind some of the other best, most visited, and most talked-out bookstores around the world. NB that fame, literary and otherwise, necessarily depends on your viewpoint, and because of where I’m standing, this list has something of an American bias. Which is only to say that I’d love to hear about which international bookstores are most famous in the minds of readers in other countries—whether the list is very similar or very different.
