FCS Code of Conduct electronic handbook and signature
This year, FCS will continue to utilize the electronic delivery of our 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct & Discipline Handbook to families who have an email address on file with the school. This electronic delivery process involves you completing two simple steps 1) Reviewing the Student Code of Conduct and 2) Completing and submitting the Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt. Here is how you complete these two steps:
1) Please review and save the updated 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct & Discipline Handbook at http://www.fultonschools.org/en/divisions/acd/supportserv/Pages/StudentDiscipline.aspx
2) Please click the link below to review and submit the required Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt Form. After review of the Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt, please complete the electronic form and submit it.
English Handbook: https://www3.fultonschools.org/codeconduct
Spanish Handbook: https://www3.fultonschools.org/codeconduct/home/indexspa
It is important that you review and discuss the content Code of Conduct with your child(ren). Teachers will also review the Code of Conduct with students at the beginning of the school year.
While you are encouraged to acknowledge receipt electronically, you may obtain a hardcopy of the Receipt form and the Code of Conduct & Handbook from either your school or by contacting our office.
Communication platforms
We also use school messenger to send information directly to you. Every other Friday, you will receive this Husky Happenings that provides high-level school information, events, dates and community news. Your grade level administrator will be sending a monthly newsletter detailing information specific to their grade level.
Finally, if you are a Twitter user, please follow Dr. Morrissey at @rakomorrissey and CMS at @cmshuskypride. Tweets about classroom kudos and practices are regularly posted!
Devices
Only students who have the device agreements on file will be able to receive a device. If you have not completed and returned these forms, please do so ASAP. The device forms, the Dell agreement and the website/software agreement, can be located on our CMS website.
Morning & Afternoon Carpool
Thank you for adhering to our processes for morning and afternoon carpool. For morning carpool, please remember that students can be dropped off between 7:55 - 8:55am but first period begins at 8:55am and students need a few minutes to go to their locker. All students who arrive before 8:45am are held in the cafeteria or gym until the bell.
We so appreciate you remembering our mantra, "keep moving forward!" It truly does allow carpool to move more quickly and effectively. We also appreciate your respectfulness of one to one merging of the two carpool lanes. Thank you!
Curriculum Nights - Save the Date
6th & 7th grade: September 6 @ 6pm
8th grade: September 13 @ 6pm (an optional parent meeting regarding the 8th grade GA trip will occur at 5:30pm in the cafeteria)
We hope to see you there!
Student check out 101: It's Easy!
Most dismissals that occur during the school day are pre-planned and can be a smooth process following these easy steps.
1. Write a note outlining the following –who (full name please) you are checking out, why you are checking out, date and time you are checking out, then sign and give a contact number. Please write legibly. Also, please note that the latest a student should check out is 3:30 pm. This avoids conflict with buses and car pool drivers arriving for dismissal.
2. Your student should bring this note to the front office on the day of the pre-planned early dismissal. The note will be approved and will then serve as a pass out of class at the noted time. Your student is then instructed to report to the front office at your stated time so be sure this accurately represents when you want them to be at the front office.
3. Check out (and in) requires that you enter the school front office and your student exit or enter with you.
4. When you arrive, you will sign your student out in the log and they will have reported to the front office as instructed.
Thiss process will help us to keep instructional time productive and with minimal interruptions. Thank You!

Medication at school
If your child needs to have medication at school, it must be kept in the clinic. If you know your child will need to have medication daily or consistently throughout the year in the clinic (epi-pens, inhalers, etc.), a medication authorization form needs to be signed by your doctor. Forms are only good for one school year and must be renewed each year. If you have any questions, please call the clinic @ 470-254-8339. Forms for this year can be picked up at our clinic or downloaded at
