Digging In!
PGHS is an active construction site, it is important that everyone remains alert and stays out of the fenced off construction area. The road behind the school is closed to traffic for the entire school year.
PGHS Important Updates
Parking for Back to School Night - Parents may park in all lots. If you park in the south parking lot, you will need to enter through the 400 entrance (which is on the southwest corner of the building).
Athletic Mandatory Parent Meeting: If you weren't able to attend the Mandatory Athletic Parent meeting at the beginning of the month, there is one more meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the PGMS Auditorium.
Emergency Cards Updated: Students will not be able to attend field trips unless their Emergency Card has been updated in Parent Portal. It is critical that these cards be updated immediately.
PTSA Meeting: The first Parent/Teacher/Student Association meeting of the school year will be this coming Monday, September 15, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in the Library. Please consider joining the PTSA by donating $5.00 and completing the membership form. Click Here for the PTSA calendar and how to support and join this important group.
Tri-County Area Federal Credit Union: Tri-County Area FCU has a student branch in the building near room 007. Plus, Tri-County has an ATM in the Main Lobby. Tri-County will be having a table at Back to School Night and will have free giveaways for parents. Please stop by the Tri-County table outside of room 007. The School Tri-County bank is open Monday's and Friday's 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Communication: To receive important and informational updates from the school, please make sure your information is accurate in School Messenger. PGHS Goals
PGHS Goals for 14-15
The faculty leadership have collaborated to select three goals which align with the district's goals. Below are the areas that PGHS faculty and staff will work on this school year.
1. Standards Aligned Curriculum - Establish a district system that fully ensures consistent implementation of standards aligned curricula across all schools for all students.
2. Effective Instructional Practices - Establish a district system that fully ensures the consistent implementation of effective instructional practices across all classrooms in each school.
3. Interventions for At-Risk Students - Establish a district system that fully ensures students who are academically at risk are identified early and are supported by a process that provides interventions based upon student needs and includes procedures for monitoring effectiveness.
