Student Computer Check-In Information
Seniors are encouraged to check in the laptops and components now through Thursday, June 13th. They have been given a clearance form and information about this.
9-11th grade Students will get a chance to check in their laptops on Tuesday, June 18th, during our Computer Check-In period which will occur at their normal Raiderade location. This will be the most convenient time to check in their computers as they will be turning it in at their Raiderade classrooms in small groups and won't need to navigate the line for checking in at the library.
Some students will need to hold on to their computers longer for some classes. These students will need to bring their computers to the library for Computer Check-In when they are completed with their computing prior to summer.
Although we suggest that all students keep their AC Adapters (chargers) at home throughout the school year, they will need to bring their "chargers" with them when the turn in their computers.
There are 4 components that students will need to bring with them during Computer Check-In.
- Laptop
- Stylus
- Sleeve
- AC Adapter (Charger)
All Items must be turned in or a fine will be placed on the student's account upon Check-In. If items are lost or damaged due to negligence, students must either pay the fine or work with the administration to mitigate the fine amount.
Laptop ($650-800) and Stylus ($28.50).
Notice that this laptop is sticker free. Students are expected to keep their laptops sticker free and should turn in their clean computers with no stickers on the lid in working condition.
Students are expected to keep their stylus free from damage. Notice the stylus is attached to the computer. (Although we can replace the tip, battery, lanyard and stylus loop, we will not be able to provide these at Check-In time. If your Stylus, or any part of your computer, needs maintenance please visit the library prior to Check-In.)
Sleeve ($15.75)
Students are expected to turn in a clean computer sleeve at the end of the year. If yours is dirty or smells funky, please clean it prior to turning it in to avoid the replacement cost.
AC Adapter ($30)
Notice this AC Adapter has its cord wrapped using the attached Velcro strap. Students are required to wrap up their own AC Adapters prior to turning in their computers. Don't wait in line then have to step aside to wrap your cord.
AC Adapters are unmarked. That means that there is no way to tell one AC Adapter from another. This was one of the reasons we suggest students keep them at home. When they bring them to school for Check-In, please by careful not to lose it or leave it lying around.
