Mustang News - May 26th, 2023
From The Principal
Happy summer break! Congratulations to our students and staff on finishing the school year strong not only in the classroom, but also on the stage, on the field, and across the community. I am so proud of the hard work and dedication that everyone invested in this year as well as the learning and growth that we all earned.
Have an absolutely awesome summer break!
We will send more information about next school year in early August.

In an effort to finalize and provide the most accurate and meaningful schedules to all students, schedules will be mailed out physically along with a copy of the student's transcript during the second week of June. Also, a reminder that schedules will be available to access via PowerSchool after July 1st, 2023.
Counselors will be available to adjust schedules prior to the start of the new school year in August at "Student Checkin Day" on Tuesday August 15, 2023.
Please note that MSHS Counselors' last day will be 5/31 and we will return in August, no schedule changes will occur over summer break.
Please know that 90% of students received what they requested; however, in the event of a student requesting a schedule change, these will be handled on a case-by-case basis in August- given a student meeting certain criteria.

Congratulations to Krissy S., Marisa F., Sage N., Nivyarra T., Aleia M., and Breezi M. for being selected to attend Emerging Leaders in Engineering. From June 26-30 in Colorado Springs, they will complete 15 hours of programming and receive a stipend with a one-on-one college mentor. They will meet strong women who are kicking butt and taking names in STEM fields. Students will design a device from the ground up to measure temperature and humidity in the air. They will learn to read schematics, build circuits, and load code while navigating budget, size, time, and materials requirements. In addition to using woodworking and 3D printing to create the device housing, participants will also explore Arduino and Tinkercad to design, build, and ultimately “sell” their product idea to a panel of judges.
