WBMS Friday Notes
November 5-9
Reflections from Ms. Perkins
WBMS Parents and Guardians –
A powerful, positive force has occupied WBMS, and it can be seen on every hallway and in many bathrooms. Encouraging messages from students to students are everywhere, and they make me happier than any achievement we will ever attain as a school. As educators, the adults at WBMS are intentional about the posters and signs we place in our classrooms and on our doors; and we celebrate our students affirmative behaviors through Webb Way Cards, Webster Awards, and Citizenship Awards. However, when our students illustrate deep alliances towards one another and plaster positive messages on the walls of the school, they demonstrate true community. They know we have to support each other every day in every way. These messages are just one of the many reasons I am such a proud principal. Thank you for sharing your students with us and enjoy the weekend!

WBMS Thanksgiving Food Drive for NFCC November 5th-16th.
WBMS is partnering with North Fulton Community Charities for a holiday food drive. This year's donations will go towards helping others during this holiday season. For that reason, we are asking for Thanksgiving specific items.
NFCC has helped families with holiday assistance for over 30 years. From humble beginnings of just a few dozen families, the program has grown every year.
Through the combined efforts of hundreds of churches, synagogues, schools, individuals, neighborhoods, businesses and volunteer groups, we help over 1,200 families and 2,700 children annually celebrate the holiday season. This holiday assistance relieves the additional financial stress for families living in poverty or from paycheck to paycheck. All of these families live in the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, and Roswell.
Thanks to you, the 2017 Holiday Program helped 645 families, over 1,700 children, and 89 seniors celebrate the holidays.
Students can participate from now until November 16th and can off items in their homerooms in their's teacher's crate.
This event is sponsored by Student Council and Jr. Beta. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. McFarland.
Thank you for your generosity.
