7-12 Families:
- Under normal in-person circumstances, we typically have all 7-12 teachers in one space, and families have the opportunity to wait in line to see any teacher they wish. In a virtual setting, it's impossible for all of our teachers to see every family of every student they serve on conference day.

Resources from the School Health Professionals
It’s important to get your household ready for COVID-19. As a family, you can plan and make decisions now that will protect you and your family.
Stay informed and in touch
- Get up-to-date information about local COVID-19 activity from public health officials including the Tri-County Health Department. https://www.tchd.org/818/Coronavirus-COVID-19
- Create an emergency contact list including family, friends, neighbors, healthcare providers, teachers, and employers.
- Prepare for possible illness
- Consider members of the household who may have an increased risk for severe illness.
- Choose a room in your house that can be used to separate sick household members from others.
Those at higher risk for severe illness
- Take additional precautions for those at higher risk for severe illness, particularly older adults and those of any age who have severe underlying health conditions.
Take everyday preventative actions
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Wear a mask when you go out in public.
- Masks should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
What to do if you are sick
If you have a fever, cough or other symptoms, you might have COVID-19. Most people have mild symptoms and are able to recover at home. If you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, contact your healthcare provider.
- Keep track of your symptoms.
- If you have an emergency warning sign (including trouble breathing), get emergency medical care immediately.
Protect Your Health This Flu Season
It’s likely that flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will both spread this fall and winter. Healthcare systems could be overwhelmed treating both patients with flu and patients with COVID-19. This means getting a flu vaccine during 2020-2021 is more important than ever.
While getting a flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19 there are many important benefits, such as:
- Flu vaccines have been shown to reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization, and death.
- Getting a flu vaccine can also save healthcare resources for the care of patients with COVID-19.
