Lauren Tarshis was born on November 23, 1963. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She now lives in Connecticut with her husband and four children. When she is not with her family or writing a book or magazine she likes to spend time with her friends. She went hiking once with her friend for the very first time, and they got lost. But luckily there was other people out hiking, and an old man came and helped them find their way back.
