It is time to order yearbooks for 2022-2023! The Yearbook Early Bird Special is $25 through March 10th. After that, the price increases to $30. Below is the link to order your yearbook.

Fifth grade parents, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! There also a separate order form that came home for special congratulatory messages to your fifth grader. PLEASE NOTE THE YEARBOOK ORDER AND CONGRATUALATORY MESSAGE ORDER ARE TWO SEPARATE THINGS. ORDERING CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES IS NOT A YEARBOOK ORDER.

Just a reminder that the following Blueprint information sessions will be held in March. This is a good opportunity for community members to provide feedback on each of the implementation plan responses as CCPS finalizes the draft due March 15th.

2022-2023 National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest
Every year, thousands of school districts in over 40 states participate in local and state-level competitions to select artwork that depicts school bus safety-related themes and encourages and promotes school bus safety. The winning posters are used to promote safer school transportation for everyone. State winners advance to the national poster contest. Submissions for the contest must be received by the Office of Pupil Transportation/ Emergency Management by March 15, 2023.

Maryland Center For School Safety Art Showcase-Repeat
“What does your school safety community look like?”
We want students, grades 3-12, to show us what school safety means to them by submitting an art piece based on this year’s theme, as listed above. The art pieces will be judged anonymously during our Summer Conference on July 19th and July 20th, 2023.
All entries must be original student pieces of work not containing logos, copyrighted imagery, or information. Failure to comply with our rules and guidelines will result in your entry being disqualified.
Submission deadline is May 31st, 2023. Please see our website for contest submission requirements, registration form, frequently asked questions and flyers you can download to print and post in your schools and community.
BES PTO Announcements and Information
There is still plenty of time to register for the Read-A-Thon fundraiser! Students can register to earn a prize and log reading minutes up until Thursday March 16th. Students can use a portion of all donations they receive in the prize store as well. And don’t forget, the class that logs the most reading minutes will earn a pizza party. Participating students are already logging an impressive amount of reading, keep up the good work!!
We will have another student dance on Friday March 17th. Students registered will stay after school to join classmates for some St. Patrick’s Day dancing and fun. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase for $1 each. Register online by March 16th at 10pm. A copy of the flyer with the QR code is attached here.
Due to limited space, only students can attend in-door dances. But Parents that would like to volunteer to chaperone the dance can use the sign up link below and will need to be a registered volunteer through the raptor system.
We will be having our outdoor family dance evening in May where everyone can join in on the fun.

You may link up to 5 schools, with funds being divided equally between your chosen schools. You will need to re-link your card at the beginning of next school year.
