Substitute Spotlight: Anita Keshwani
Anita Keshwani began volunteering at her children's school when they were younger, but she enjoyed it so much that she's now a WDMCS substitute teacher.
"If you enjoy working with kids, I would definitely give it a try," she says, "because these kids are willing to learn and it's nice to give back to the community."
Are you interested in becoming more involved at your students’ schools? WDMCS is seeking substitute teachers, secretaries, and support staff for the remainder of the school year, and we’ve recently raised our pay rates!
In order to substitute teach in the state of Iowa, you'll need to obtain a substitute authorization. Here's a handy guide from Heartland AEA that outlines all the steps you'll need to take in order to become authorized.
