Greenlodge Spring Musical!

We are excited to announce our second annual musical at Greenlodge Elementary School stage will be Bebop with Aesop! Aesop's unforgettable fables stimulate our imaginations and dramatize the many lessons and values that we can learn from them. Michael and Jill Gallina have adapted some of these fables in creative musical settings. This musical will provide examples of behaviors and attitudes from Aesop's entertaining stories through fun-to-perform dialogue and rock 'n' roll-styled music.

  • Students will rehearse two days per week 3:00-4:00 until May 12th when they will have three rehearsals per week and will also be extended to 4:30 for the remainder of the schedule.
  • Pay close attention to the schedule for your cast or crew rehearsal dates. The students will be involved with the whole process of our musical. They will make and design our costumes, our background, and our props. They will learn to work together with a cast of different ages and build our stage. They will learn their lines and songs to make a wonderful musical.
  • Space is very limited. So please fill out and send forms quickly.

  • Look left, right and left again before crossing
  • Always wear a helmet when riding on wheels

Notes from the Nurse

Please remember the following while we are still in flu season:

There are still cases of flu, stomach bug and strep in the school. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is that your child remain at home for treatment and observation if they have any of these symptoms:

  • Fever (greater than 100 degrees). Your child should remain at home until they have been fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medicine such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

  • Vomiting - remain at home until 24 hours free of vomiting

  • Diarrhea - remain at home until 24 hours free of diarrhea

  • Chills

  • General malaise or feelings of fatigue, discomfort, weakness or muscle aches

  • Frequent congested (wet) or croupy cough

If/when you do call your child in absent, please indicate the symptoms and/or diagnosis to help us better track illness trends.
