Lincoln Elementary Weekly Update

February 5, 2021

From Mrs. K

Happy Friday! What a week…

The highlight, by far, was our Global School Play Day on Wednesday. Thank you so much for your support - our students enjoyed the day so much! Phrases like “bestest day ever,” “so awesome,” and “best day of my entire life” were heard all around Lincoln!

Thoughts from our teachers:

“The kids were able to be creative together and got the chance to do a lot of different activities. It was fun to see them have the freedom to play and create however they wanted. They showed so much kindness and joy towards each other!” - Mrs. Strobel

“I heard "I wish we could play all day", "This is fun", but I also heard "what should I do?" I heard some students not quite sure what to do with all that time to play unstructured without a screen. I also heard "What are you making?" I thought it was sweet that they were interested in what each other were doing and creating.” - Ms. Canfield

“Such a great day! It was so nice to watch students who typically struggle and have to work SO hard, be creative and just play. They were so relaxed in my room and we were able to just visit and enjoy being together.” - Mrs. Veenstra

Please enjoy a few of the pictures we collected from the day. Hopefully more has been/will be shared with you via Seesaw.

Have a great weekend,

Margaret Kirkwold
