Graduation rehearsal is this Friday at 8:30. Report to the area outside the small gym to sign in. We will begin promptly @ 8:30 so be sure you are on time..

Tomorrow is "Ready for Summer" spirit day. Please remember that all students must follow the school dress code and please leave all summer gear at home. (Weiss, 5/17)

YEARBOOKS!

5/17-5/18:

Yearbooks are here! If you purchased a yearbook, pick up yours during your lunch Tuesday or Wednesday in the cafeteria. Please make sure to have your ID card or Synergy profile available for yearbook staff to check. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, any remaining yearbooks for sale were available today, Tuesday, at 7:30am from the site controller’s window. Yearbooks will sell until they run out for $110 cash or card only.

5/19-5/20:

Did you purchase a yearbook and forgot to pick up yours? See Ms. Sousa in HG1 during your lunch to pick up your yearbook!

Graduation tickets

If anyone wishes to purchase graduation tickets they are available for purchase at lunch at the ASB windows. Cash only! If you want to use a credit card go to the Controller's window. Seniors will get your 6 free tickets after graduation practice on May 23.

THE CAREER CENTER WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY (5/17)

The Career Center will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday (5/17) all day. Please remember to take care of your printing needs before tomorrow since there will be no access to a printer with the library also closed.

Senior Sunset!!

Senior Sunset shirts are on sale at the ASB windows for the next week. The shirt is the ticket to the Senior Sunset in Rotary Grove @ EG park. On May 20th from 5:00-7:30 we will host a Tri-tip sandwich picnic in the park. The meal and shirt are included in the price.

RED CROSS CLUB - ATTENTION SENIORS

Attention Seniors who have been members of the Red Cross Club for the past few years. Please come to HP13 either Tuesday or Wednesday after school to receive a cord and learn about the club's End-of-the-Year Movie Night celebration! (Nguyen, 5/18)

Next Year's AP English 12

All students enrolled in AP English 12 next year: There will be a meeting to review the Summer Enrichment Work this Friday, May 20th during both lunches in HK-8. We hope to see you there.

LIBRARY NEWS

Attention SENIORS: Only 3 more days left for 120+ seniors to return textbooks & get cleared for graduation. Last day to return and get cleared is Thursday, May 19. Check your library account online to know which books to RETURN ASAP to the Textbook Room windows, 7:30—3:20.

Yesterday & today JUNIORS return all textbooks with their English classes.

Tomorrow, Wednesday: SOPHOMORES who have Ms. Kauer, Mr. Rossow, Ms. Hoyle or Ms. Porte return all textbooks with English 10 or Honors 10. All other sophomores return books Thursday.

Freshmen, ask your English teacher which day to bring your textbooks to return.

Mural design contest

We are looking for artistic students who are interest in designing a mural for the front of the school (HG building facing the quad). The design must incorporate the theme: Pleasant Grove High School celebrates and values cultural diversity. Please see Mrs. Chilcoat Ghio in HF15 for a packet of information and templates. Designs are due May 20th. (Chilcoat Ghio, 5/20)

AVID COLLECTING NEW SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Attention PGHS! AVID 9 is collecting NEW school supplies from April 25 to May 20 to help children at the Sacramento Children’s Home for the next school year.

Supplies needed include but not limited to:

  • backpacks
  • Hand sanitizer
  • 3-ring binders
  • Spiral or composition notebooks
  • No. 2 pencils
  • Ink pens
  • Rulers
  • Mini staplers
  • Dry erase markers
  • Colored pencils

Boxes for your donations are available in your math classrooms and the cafeteria.

SUMMER AT CITY HALL PROGRAM, RANCHO CORDOVA - APPLICATION DEADLINE MAY 20, 2022

Summer at City Hall Program, Rancho Cordova is a month-long summer seminar for youth residents of Rancho Cordova to provide them an opportunity to learn more about their local government, connect with local leaders, work on professional development, improve their leadership skills, and learn how to make a difference in their community.

Who: 8th-12th grade

When: July 11th to August 5th Monday - Thursday 10AM-12PM

Application deadline is MAY, 18TH.

*Rancho Cordova residents are eligible to receive a $200 stipend with successful completion of the program.
