FBI Sacramento Teen Academy is currently accepting applications! Application Deadline is Friday, April 22, 2021

The Sacramento Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is currently accepting applications for their upcoming Teen Academy. Their Teen Academy program allows high school juniors and seniors (for the 2021-2022 school year) an opportunity to get a comprehensive look into today’s FBI. Students are provided with presentations on topics including terrorism, cyber crime, public corruption, evidence response, SWAT, and the day-to-day operations of a typical FBI office. Students also learn from special agents, intelligence analysts, language specialists, and professional staff about investigative tactics that include gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and assisting with cases. The Teen Academy is designed to promote an educational experience that we believe will provide students with a greater understanding of the FBI's mission. Through both hands-on experiences and case presentations, we seek to further explain to our younger generation how the FBI addresses the concerns of the community.

Their goal is to have a class comprised of students from different areas representing public, private and parochial high schools within their area of responsibility, which spans from the Oregon border to San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties. The Teen Academy will be held at the FBI Sacramento Office on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please complete the application and supporting essay, which requires a signature from both a parent or guardian and the principal. The application can be found on their webpage at The completed application and essay should be mailed to: Shelby Samaniego, Community Outreach Specialist, FBI, 2001 Freedom Way, Roseville, CA 95678. All applications must be received by Friday, April 22, 2021. Please do not email. Incomplete and late applications will not be accepted.
