Mindfulness
Rigsby states "Good enough isn't good enough if it can be better. Better isn't good enough if it can be best." What are we doing to help our students succeed? The most powerful thing that we can bring is a belief in the potential of our students, the belief that our students can learn. Modeling our beliefs allows us to grow our influence to make an impact. Rigsby suggests we don't judge, we show up early, be kind, be sure the servant's towel is huge and used, that if we do something we do it the right way, that it's never wrong to do the right thing, and that how we do anything is how we do everything. We come together every day, modeling and helping others succeed to make our school a place where potential really explodes. This week, I challenge you to make an effort to model your beliefs and note the impact on our students. In Onward, Aguilar suggests we focus on the little things. Take stock of the present and appreciate those who are making it better in just a few short minutes each day. Send an email or a text each morning and note the impact on the recipient. Model excellence.
"If you want to make an impact, find a broom. How are you living?"
