New Year, New Goals
It is that time of year where a lot of people take time to reflect and make new goals. Please make one of your goals to slow down in the parking lot. Our office staff is working hard to determine who is speeding and ask them individually to slow down, but what would really be helpful is if everyone would just adhere to the speed limit and not jump the line. It is still only taking us about 20 minutes to get all students picked up at the end of the day; despite snow, ice, dark and sometimes slippery conditions. We appreciate everyone's patience as we try and keep our pick up process as safe and running as smooth as possible.
I also want to give a big Thank You to our Bus Transportation Departement. Ealier this month we collaborated on a new plan and now our buses (that are late) are moving through the neighborhood-behind the school- and then turn into our roadway. This keeps the buses from being stopped on the main road and also provides better visiblity for any cars that end up waiting in line.
Happy New Year from your FTA!
We want to start by thanking all of our families who have participated in our FTA events thus far this school year. We know things have been different, but we so appreciate the support you have shown our organization! It is our continued goal to show that enthusiasm and support back to our teachers, staff and students.
We are currently in our last week of our Winter Spirit Gear Drive and items are available online through Friday. Please contact us with any questions. Most likely this will be our last gear sale of the year- so please take the time to order this round if you were wanting some new Larson shirts! Looking ahead, we have another special “Lucky!” Popcorn Friday coming up in March. More information will go home about our event in the coming weeks.
Thank you!

Let's go Green Larson Eagles!
Music Unit Highlight
Music Classes and the Ukulee Unit: Did you know that the ukulele is commonly associated with music from Hawaii? Did you also know that the name roughly translates as "jumping flea."
This year, Mrs. Bowen acquired a class set of the small guilar like instruments and students have been learning how to play. It has been an awesome highlight to our year to have a new instrument to learn about and practice.
At the end of the unit, Mrs. Bowen will be posting class videos on our website. Stay tuned....
