TELPAS Testing

Dear Mustang Families:

TELPAS assessment season starts this upcoming February. This test measures the English proficiency of students who are identified as English language learners. Please watch the video below to get more information about the assessment process and student participation.

Character Trait of the Month - February is Resilience

Every month, we will focus on teaching important character traits to students during short lessons in their classroom. For the month of February, we will focus on Resilience. Students will be receiving information and lessons from their teachers on how to be resilient. Please help us as we develop this trait with students by talking to your children on how to hang in there and persist even when things can be difficult.

To show the spirit, students are encouraged to wear YELLOW on Thursday, February 4th.

Feb. 3rd - Counselor's Day

National School Counseling Week is the first week of February this year. Help us celebrate our amazing and loving school counselor, Mrs. Sepulveda! On February 3rd, we will be honoring her showing our appreciation for the hard work and dedication she has put in to each one of us.

To help us celebrate, we are asking students to draw a picture showing how Mrs. Sepulveda has impacted or helped them during their time at Martin and posting a picture of it on Twitter with the hashtag #SepulvedaCares and make sure to tag Martin by adding @Martin_Mustangs to your tweet.

Feb. 10th-12th - No School

Don't forget, there will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, February 10th through Friday, February 12th. Students will return, in person or virtually, on Monday, February 15th.
