Badger Parents Newsletter

Volume 1, Issue 12

Welcome, Parents!

It is hard to believe that we are wrapping up the 5th 6 weeks of this school year. The 5th 6 weeks ends on Thursday, 4/14. Please continue to monitor your child's grades on Family Access and reach out to our amazing teachers if you have any questions or concerns. National Library Week is next week if you would like to have your child do something sweet for our librarian, Ms. Peters. Teacher Appreciation week is May 2nd - May 6th. We hope you will encourage your child to show their sincere appreciation for their teachers. As always, thank you for your continued support of the work we are doing here at Ed Willkie. We value each of you!

A message from our Nurse:

Attention 6th Grade parents!!!

We want to inform you that all 6 graders will be needing immunizations prior to entering 7th grade in Fall 2016. In response to this, we will be having an immunization clinic that will be held at Ed Willkie Middle School on April 14, 2016, from 9-11 a.m. Only students with Medicaid, Chip, No Insurance or Underinsured will be immunized at the school or TCPH clinics. Please make note that if the student has Private Pay insurance that covers all the required vaccines, they will not be able to be immunized at the school immunization clinic. All incoming 7th graders will need to obtain the below vaccines before the start of the 2016-2017 school year.

Required immunizations for entering 7th grade:

Students' ID number serves as their username and password. Please contact Mrs. Peters with any questions or concerns: or 817-237-9631, ext. 5530.
