Hour of Code @ the Public Library

For aspiring new young coders, Grades 4-6

Thursday, April 14th, 3:30-4:45pm

Baudette Public Library

Join us for one of our two after-school coding sessions on either Thursday, April 14 or Thursday, May 5. We will be using the library's iPads, so we have limited space. Limited space so call the Library to register for one of these classes at 634-2329.

Learn the basics by simply dragging and dropping commands onto a digital workspace to make your avatar move. This is basic coding in a one-hour session!

Meet your instructor

Library Media Specialist Sheri Levasseur, a Baudette native, who has led young coders in NY technology enrichment programs. She is excited to bring this national initiative to the community and hopes to inspire young coders to do great things.

"Launched in 2013, Code.org® is a non-profit dedicated to expanding access to computer science, and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color. Our vision is that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science. We believe computer science should be part of core curriculum, alongside other courses such as biology, chemistry or algebra."
