AN UPDATE FROM ASP
We are having a fantastic and fun Spring trimester. In dance we are learning the steps for our Lion King performance, and Drama just held their auditions for the Peter Pan production.
Next Friday we will hold our second chess tournament and all after school chess players are invited to attend. Please sign up using the link below!
Enjoy a few photos of our Give Back Monday class. We visited a local Fire house, brought them gifts for all the work they do for us and got to ask lots of questions. Bills for spring will go out this week. See you in after school!
First Grade Author Visit | Friday, June 3
Brian Pinkney will visit Brooklyn Prospect Charter School on Friday, June 3 to read from his books and talk about his life as a writer. You can order copies of Brian’s books through Brooklyn local independent bookstore Greenlight Bookstore! Order forms were sent home this afternoon and are accessible via the link below. Orders must be placed by May 23rd. Brian will sign and personalize (e.g. “For Tommy”, “Happy Birthday, Sally”, etc.) your books after his presentation and you can pick them up at the end of the day.

Great times to bring in supply donations are during morning drop off and dismissal. All contributions, large or small, are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

PARENT MOVIE NIGHT | Tuesday, May 19th
Spring Cleaning Alert!
On Thursday, June 02 First Grade will visit the the Brooklyn Grange! Our students will use their five senses to explore the intricate world of a bee colony as part of our study of Homes. We will observe the inner working of a honeybee super-organism through a glass observation hive (weather permitting), plant bee-friendly crops, and taste the delicious honey that bees work so hard to produce.
