Coal is mainly formed from dead plants buried over millions years . Coal is a nonrenewable resource it can be made again but,due to the fact that it takes over millions of years to form.
Advantages of using coal.
Using coal is helpful for producing electricity. It is the cheapest source of energy. It also provides a stable source of energy. Coal mining reclamation can give the surface land owner many more options for developing their land. Coal is good for Kentucky's economy.
Harmful uses of using coal
Although there are many uses of the way we use coal it can also cause many issues for using it like air pollution due to the thick smoke, it can also cause big gaping holes in the ground due to the mining of the coal. There are numerous environmental impactsof coals hat occur through its mining,preparation,combustion,and waste storage.

Coal is most abundantly found in Wyoming. Coal is nothing more than ancient wood which has been under pressure for millions of years. It is not sinister as you may have been led to believe. Coal provides many jobs unlike forms of energy nuclear,natural gas,oil,and hydro electric. Coal provides many jobs in removing coal from the Earth transporting it to the utility, burning it, and properly disposing of coal ash.
Disadvantage of using coal
The U.S. burns almost a billion tons of coal each year, that is almost 20 pounds of coal for every person in the country each day. Estimated every year coal pollution is responsible for 12,000 emergency room visits,20,000 heart attacks, and over 200,000 asthma attacks
