2019 SUMMER INTERNSHIP
The purpose of an internship is to provide students with real world learning experiences. We have several different companies participating in this program for 2019 including healthcare, education and much more. Internships are limited and are first come first serve. This program is for Sophomore and Juniors only and students must be 16 years old by June 1.
Summer school registration begins January 8th. Students must sign up for the Pre-Professional Internship course after which they will be contacted and matched to an internship site. Students will report to that site during the regular summer school schedule (both sessions) and work 15 hours per week as determined by their site.
This is a great opportunity for students to explore different careers and gain experience at the same time! Unlike a part time job students will have the opportunity to be mentored by an executive of the company who tailors the experience to the needs of the student. This course will then appear on their school transcript and credit will be obtained. Please contact Ellen Corcoran with any questions. Register today at Summer School Registration.
