MS & HS Parent & Student Update

Week of September 11th, 2023

Dear Parents/Guardians of Clark Middle & High School Students,

Last week we finished up our NWEA MAPS testing for both the MS and HS. We will be sending home these results by the end of next week. I have attached some parent resources at the bottom of this newsletter for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Teachers use the NWEA MAP Growth assessments to better understand your child's individual needs and to help him/her progress in the assessed area. Because the assessment is a growth measure, it can track the growth of the student between testing events and over multiple years of testing.

This week we will have some grade level meetings as students prepare for homecoming week. More information on themes for each grade level and events will come out in next week's newsletter and on the district's Facebook page. Our students do a lot of the planning for the activities for Homecoming and we appreciate both the student and teacher leadership that takes place to make this an exciting week for everyone. The community involvement is appreciated as well. We are looking forward to another week of school with our students. As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, September 15th because of Teacher In-service.

Sincerely,

Ms. Heggelund

Principal, Clark Middle & High School
