2023-24 School Year
BHS Students, Parents, and Guardians,
BHS is in the middle of scheduling for the 2024-25 school year. We offer a comprehensive and challenging curriculum to our students taught by Brunswick teachers in a positive, and supported learning environment. I am excited that Brunswick High School is planning to offer several new courses: HONORS ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES AND DESIGN, THE BEST SELLER, WRITING FOR THE REAL WORLD, CURRENT EVENTS , ACTING II, HONORS YEARBOOK II, and SPORTS OFFICIATING 1. The new courses were developed, designed, and written by teachers at BHS. To learn more please reference the 2024-25 Program of Studies for the different course offerings taught at BHS.
The Level 4 (L4) courses include Advanced Placement, CLEP, and CCP courses. The courses are rigorous, college-level courses designed to challenge high school students and provide them with the opportunity to earn college credit. This can be beneficial for students looking to get a head start on college coursework, strengthen their opportunities for scholarships, build their study skills and confidence. All of the Level 4 courses provide opportunities for dual credit and are weighted on a higher GPA scale.
Talk to your child about doing their best in class, completing assignments, and academic integrity. Help them understand why it is important to do their own work and not to plagiarize or copy others work. Any student who uses devices, technology, or other tools to find answers or to submit work, that is not their own, is a violation of the code of conduct. Cheating, using any artificial intellegence, and plagiarism will result in a zero in both content mastery or work habits.
