What Is Malaria?

Malaria is a terrible Infectious Disease. It comes from the Plasmoduim Parasite. It has many symptoms. The parasite enters your red blood cells and they multiply. It id transmitted by mosquitoes.

How Can You Get Malaria?

There is only one way that Malaria can spread. It spreads by Anopheles Mosquitoes. Although, the mosquito has to have already been infected through sucking blood from someone else before you.

What Are The Symptoms of Malaria?

Symptoms of Malaria include:

  • chills
  • high fever
  • sweating
  • headache
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • anemia
  • muscle pain
  • convulsions
  • coma
  • bloody stools

What Can You Do To Help Malaria?

Drugs that help decrease the affect of Malaria include:

  • Atovaquone
  • Chioroquine
  • Doxycyline
  • Mefloquine
  • Primaquine

How Can You Prevent Yourself From Getting Malaria?

You can prevent Malaria in many different ways. You should stay away from areas where Malaria is common. You should also stay inside when it is dark. A good way to prevent Malaria is to use mosquito nets when you go camping. A simple way is to just simply use insect repellent.
