Falcon Connection
the week of March 16th, 2020
Hi Fischer Students, Families & Staff
In light of our current situation, we think it is important to stay connected!
Our teachers will be posting learning opportunities for students to continue to be engaged with the curriculum while we are away from school.
We feel there should be an added layer of staying connected with everyone, so this week and next we are sending out this flyer to keep in communication.
Go Falcons!!

Kindness Corner
While we are at home, there are some things we can still do to spread Kindness to others:
- Call or FaceTime to check-in with friends or family members!
- Make a card or send a positive note to a nursing home, hospital or care center
- Write things you like about yourself and your family and share them with one another
Self-Care for Families
During this time, self-care is essential. Here are some activities for families to do together:
- Have a dance party at home
- Play a game!
- Unplug and read a book together
- Exercise - go for a bike ride, walk or hike. Do yoga!
- Draw, paint or craft!
- Do a puzzle!
- Write a collaborative story as a family
Digital Citizenship while you are away...
While at home, students may have more time to be on social media.
As a reminder, please T.H.I.N.K. when posting.
Make an effort to take a break from social media: stay active, maintain healthy habits and do an activity with notifications on silent.
Stop, Breathe & Think App
Stop, Breathe & Think is a free app to "Check in with how you're feeling, and try short activities tuned to your emotions."
Sometimes when we are feeling frazzled, thinking about how we are feeling is a great strategy. Check out this app!
Please feel free to reach out to Ms. Nonnemacher, Mrs. Spires or Mrs. Smith if you need anything!
