About this learning opportunity
Digital Citizenship needs to be an ongoing conversation with our children.
In this session, we will discuss the ever changing digital landscape our kids are growing up in. Although it may seem that today’s kids know more about technology than most adults, they still require guidance. For many parents, this new reality may be overwhelming and at times scary.
There are both negative and positive examples of how technology, especially social media, are being used. Sometimes we only see the negative examples on TV and in mainstream media, but there are positive models out there that our kids need to see; people using technology to connect, collaborate, learn and contribute globally!
Tips and advice will be shared on how families can help their children navigate this new reality with a balanced approach.
This learning opportunity is being provided through funding from Alberta Education.
