Social Media Sessions for Parents
Hadley Junior High School presents two educational sessions about social media for parents. The goal is to educate parents on current social media trends, understanding the need for a positive online footprint, increasing parents comfort and awareness regarding teenagers and their use of cellphone apps. It is important to know the challenges children face every day in their online life and provide practical strategies for parenting in this hyper-digital age. Our presenter will be Cyber Safety Expert, Liz Repking.
What’s Happening Now? Social Media Updates
Thursday, April 4 at Hadley Junior High, 6:30-8pm
This presentation is geared for parents who are familiar with social media but would benefit from a discussion about Snapchat and Instagram - what they are, what are the benefits and dangers, and identifying where the safety features are. In addition, there is online gaming information and etiquette, and how to build healthy tech habits. Teenage behavior regarding their safety and online activity is changing - let’s improve communication with our children.
