What is Happening on Your Child's LiiNK Campus
Their Cup is Half Full!
- Time-Time is something to use and enjoy, but not waste.
- Money-Money is important for buying things we need. Earning money and learning to spend it wisely as key lessons.
- Energy-Eating right and getting good sleep gives you energy to get through the day.
- Possessions-Taking care of possessions is important and there are consequences when we don't.
- Talents-Everyone is good at something! Anything you do well that is helpful to yourself or others is a talent. Learn to recognize and develop talents
- Thoughts-How can we turn a negative thought into something positive? There are things we must do whether we like them or not. If we try to have positive thoughts about those things, usually the negative thoughts go away
- Actions-Using our gifts in positive ways, and having a positive mindset are the keys to a happy life.
- Feelings-Our thoughts have a lot to do with the way we feel. Thinking positively helps us feel better.
How Positive Action Looks in Each Grade Level
First-Positive Pat and Negative Ned taught students that using a positive mindset can improve how they think and feel. Students practiced stretching themselves to have good self management.
Second-Realistic fiction tales centered around child characters who experienced situations and feelings that are similar to what our 2nd grade students might encounter. The characters modeled how the eight gifts might look in the real world and how students can best use them to lead happy lives.
Showing how it feels to be LOVED!
