Free Apps
SyncSpace Free
SyncSpace provides a zoomable drawing space that can be sketched on by multiple collaborators, at any time, over the net. No files to send around, no versions to worry about. You're all sharing the same whiteboard! The free version allows up to 3 collaboration boards at one time. SyncSpace could be a great app for collaborative brainstorming sessions across multiple devices.
Google Search
This app contains several new features other than just your favorite search engine. The latest version includes Google Voice (similar to Siri), Google Goggles and Google Now.
Number Line
Number Line is an educational game app to help students learn about fractions, decimals, and percents by ordering equivalent fractions, decimals, and percents on a number line.

Inkle Writer provides a platform on which you can write "choose your own adventure" style stories. On Inkle Writer you write each paragraph (or less) as an independent piece that you can connect to other pieces of your story.
Storybird
Storybird lets anyone make visual stories in seconds. We curate artwork from illustrators and animators around the world and inspire writers of any age to turn those images
into fresh stories. Over 125,000 schools from K-12 choose Storybird to inspire their students to read and write better and more often.
Jennifer King's Gifted Ed class at AES uses Storybird to enhance their literacy skills by creating engaging visual stories.
