Happy Spring Break! We are so proud of how far we have all made it this year and of the adaptability of this community. We encourage you to utilize this break as just that, a break! This month's newsletter contains valuable information regarding registration for the 2021-22 school year, Class of 2021 updates, and other student opportunities!

Dates to Remember:

NFHS Registration -

  • Wednesday, March 31st at 8:00 am - Registration portal will OPEN for VIEW ONLY of 2021-2022 course selections
  • Friday, April 2nd at 4:00 pm - Registration portal will CLOSE for VIEW ONLY of 2021-2022 course selections


Between Wednesday, March 31st - Friday, April 2nd during our VIEW ONLY window, Counselors will be in the café during all lunch periods to help with any needed course corrections!

Dual Enrollment

The deadline to apply for Dual Enrollment classes for the 2021-2022 school year is at the end of April. Please review our NFHS Dual Enrollment page and checklist if you are interested. You can contact your counselor for more information and help with the application process!

Scholarship Spotlights:

Tammy Waddell Memorial Scholarship:

  • Scholarship applicants must be planning to major in education in college and pursue a career in teaching
  • Due: April 2nd


Joyce Hawkins Scholarship for Outstanding Citizenship & Community Service:

  • Focus on community service and involvement!
  • DUE: April 13th


Forsyth County Lions Club:

  • Need-based Scholarship
  • DUE: April 15th


Buzzell, Welsh, & Hill Scholarship Contest:

  • For this year’s contest, we invite students to create a new driver education program or process that could work in your own town
  • DUE: April 30th


Will Davison Memorial Scholarship:

  • Pursuing a degree in a “helping field” or “profession of service to others”
  • DUE: May 1st

FCS Pathway Medallion Information

Class of 2021,


If you want to apply for a Pathway Medallion, please thoroughly review the requirements at this link. If you believe you meet all requirements, please complete the application at this link by April 23rd, 2021. This application is only for Advanced Academic, World Language, and Fine Arts Medallions. CTAE Medallions and Seals are tracked by CTAE Pathway teachers, so please direct any questions about CTAE qualifications to them.

Other Important Senior Information:

  • Report Scholarships Awarded - Help us track how much $$$ NFHS students are offered. Students that are awarded scholarships will be recognized at our Senior Awards Night on May 20th.
  • Report College & Military Acceptances - We want to celebrate you! When you get an acceptance letter to a college or university, please fill out the form!
  • Senior Spotlight Recognitions - If you would like to submit your senior to be featured on our NFHS Class of 2021 Instagram, please fill out this survey. You can follow the Class of 2021 @nfhsclassof21 to see the shared spotlight!

Student Opportunities

WorkSource Georgia - Employment Bootcamp

This is an opportunity for graduating seniors who currently do not have any post-secondary plans. The bootcamp is a 4 day class focused on learning key skills that employers are looking for in their employees. Upon completion of the course, students are offered the opportunity to interview with local employers looking to hire. Students then continue to receive ongoing career support as they transition into the work force. Please use the button below to discover more about this opportunity!

2021 High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony - OCS of Atlanta

The 1st Annual ACoOCS ’21 Hybrid High School Senior Enlistee Recognition Ceremony to honor the Class of 2021 high school seniors and their parents/guardians who plan to enlist into the military, will be held on May 15, 2021 from 1 PM to 2 PM. This ceremony intends to honor Seniors enlisting in one of the five Military Services. Please use the button below to find more information on the event and how to register:
