A few reminders about events this week and updates for our families. If you are new to our school and have questions, please read below, check out our school website, or call the office at 916-979-8076.
Today is our Meet & Greet Your New Teacher Event!
Please join us to meet your child's new teacher this morning, Tuesday, August 10th! Teachers will each be at their classroom door and will meet with students and parents at the doorway of the classroom. Although we will be primarily outside, due to possible larger crowds, please wear masks and honor social distancing. Our P.T.O. will have a table with information to share, as well.
Based on the first letter of your last name, please come during this time frame suggested below to help with traffic and to minimize lines or crowds:
8a.m. A-F
8:15 G-L
8:30 M-Q
8:45 R-Z
The "Meet and Greet Your New Teacher" event is optional and provides an opportunity for brief connection, helps students to find their classroom, and where their line will be located before school begins. For families who are unable to bring a student to the "Meet and Greet," please rest assured that many staff will be available to assist students the first day of school to help them know exactly where to go and will even walk students to class if they need support.
2021-2022 School Year
School begins on Thursday, August 12th at 8:15a.m. following our standard schedule. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, dismissal is at 2:45p.m. for Kinder through 6th grades. On Thursdays, dismissal is at 1:30p.m., returning to our previous school schedule. TK is a half day program and is dismissed at 11:35a.m. every day of the year. Being that we start on a Thursday, please remember dismissal is at 1:30p.m. on the first day of school. Friday, dismissal is at 2:45p.m.
Classroom assignments are viewable via the Parent Portal. Please go through the process to confirm enrollment, "re-enroll," and to update emergency contacts and parent contact information, please to go:

Once the school year begins, students will not have to wear masks when outdoors at school during the school day, for example, when at recess.
Students and staff will continue to wear masks inside the classroom and school buildings (with the exception being lunch).
Most importantly, we are very excited to return to full days back together! More information continues to be shared from the State and County Health Departments with our District leadership, and as any guidelines change, I will keep staff and families updated.
