Some plants and animals in the estuary are young fish, oysters, clams, crabs, and young sea turtles.
Location
Pamilico Sound is located in northeastern North Carolina and separates the outer banks from the NC mainland.
Waterways that lead to Pamilico Sound
Tar-Pamilico, Neuse, an White Oak river basins. Also, the Hatteras and Oregon inlets flow into Pamilico Sound.
