The 2017 Marion County Cross Championships were held at Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center on Saturday 9/30. East Girls finished in 3rd place overall as a team while the boys finished a very impressive runner-up and was close to taking home the championship 1st place trophy.
Congratulations to FTMS East 7th and 8th Grade Volleyball. The East Flashes hosted West at FCHS and won both games on Monday 10/2. Thank you to all of the fans and students that attended this great event at the high school. Thank you to FCHS AD Greg Orr for the hospitality and letting us play in the main gym.
Congratulations to East Boys and Girls Cross Country with victories over West at West on Monday 10/2.
Upon returning from break boys basketball will occupy the slate the rest of the semester. Tryouts for Wrestling, Girls Basketball, and Swimming will begin the 1st and 2nd weeks of December. Exact times, dates, locations will be confirmed and announced upon returning from fall break.

Attention FTMS-East Families:
Veterans Day will be celebrated this year on Friday, November 10th. Veterans Day allows us to show our appreciation to members of our military, past and present. The FTMS-East Random Acts of Kindness Club, along with our students here at East, would like to say thank you to a beloved family member of yours who is currently stationed overseas or to one who is a retired Serviceman/Servicewoman with hand-written cards/notes and a treat bag. If you have a family member either stationed overseas in the military or retired from the military, please contact Mrs. Hewitt, the Sponsor of the Club, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or leave a message for her at 317/803-8141 no later than Friday, September 15th. The Random Acts of Kindness Club looks forward to brightening a day of some of our current and former Servicemen and Servicewomen!!!
