2020 TWHS Senior Important Dates and Information
Tuesday, May 12 - Senior Last Day of Classes
Wednesday, May 13 through Friday, May 15 - Seniors will clean out lockers and turn in Chromebooks and other school items including, textbooks, uniforms, instruments, etc. A schedule will be shared at a later date for times for each senior to come and to take care of these obligations.
Friday, May 15 - Drive through “Graduation” (diploma and diploma cover pick up) will begin at 4:30 pm.
- This event will be live streamed on the Topeka West Facebook page.
- There will be more detailed information provided later this week.
Friday, May 15 - After you have gone through the Topeka West Parking lot you are encouraged to drive through Hummer Sports Park with all of the stadium and field lights will be turned on at 8:00 pm for 20 minutes and 20 seconds in recognition of our seniors.
Saturday, May 16 - A Zoom link will be sent for anyone that would like to access a virtual commencement ceremony. The ceremony will be at 9:00 am. For this ceremony we are asking for the following information to be emailed to the students division principal:

- Division 1 (last names A-K)

- Please email a school appropriate picture of you in your cap and gown
- Include your plans for next year
- Parents can include a brief 1-2 sentence message to their senior.
We will include this information in a slide show for graduates during the virtual ceremony.
Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
Saturday July 25 - We are still planning on doing a graduation on July 25 at Hummer, but are not yet certain that we will be able to do that during that time.
I hope you all have a great start to May, please know we are working hard to try and make this time as special as we can for you given the circumstances we are in.

TOPEKA WEST GIRLS GOLF 2020
Come join the fun and excitement of the Girls Golf team, a team that has qualified girls for the State Golf Tournament the last 3 of 6 years and do well at the State Golf Tournament. Freshman, sophomore, junior and senior girls are invited to become part of the Girls Golf Team at Topeka West. No prior golfing experience is needed. Coach Richard Mariani will be holding an organizational meeting after school Thursday, August 13, 3:15pm, in Room A105 on Topeka West campus. Practice will begin Monday, August 17, 3:15 pm at Cypress Ridge Golf Course. For any additional information, please call Coach Mariani at school 438-4042 or cell (785) 640-2072.

Topeka West does not offer a summer camp but if you plan on playing golf next season, girls in the fall, it is highly recommended that you attend a junior golf program offered in the city. Below is the contact information for the different junior golf programs offered throughout the city of Topeka.
