FRISCO ISD’S FIRST EVER CHOIR FESTIVAL, TOGETHER IN SONG, IS QUICKLY APPROACHING!
JOIN US for this celebration of music! The event will take place at Stonebriar Community Church on Saturday, January 19, at 3:00 PM. Director of Choral Studies, Dr. Allen Hightower, from the University of North Texas will be our guest conductor and direct our grand chorus made up of 240 voices from each Frisco ISD high school. High school orchestra students from across the district will also share their talents on one select performance piece. Our Frisco ISD Honor Choir will perform prior to the concert, and The University of North Texas A Cappella Choir will perform selections from their fall repertoire as well.
If music is a passion of your student(s), this will be an incredible event for them to attend so they have the chance to see the kinds of Fine Arts student opportunities available to them not only in Frisco ISD, but in post-secondary education. This is sure to be a musical experience and celebration of singing for ALL, so don’t miss out! Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased by visiting tickets.friscoisd.org. Click on the “Fine Arts” link and then on the “Frisco ISD Choir Together in Song” link. Click on “Purchase Tickets,” under “General Public Tickets” to purchase. Tickets are $5 each, and all seating is general admission for the event.
Our students have been preparing all year for this event and can’t wait to share their music with you on January 19!
STEAM
Parents,
Do you believe your student could have a future working in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math (STEAM) fields? If so, attending the Frisco Ignite Event would be a perfect way for your student to discover new ideas and topics related to STEAM.
The event will be hosted by the Frisco Ignite Team, students from Lone Star and Memorial High School. In February, we are holding a fair that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, or STEAM.
Our STEAM fair is meant to inspire children and give students the opportunity to learn more
about their interests. You can read more about our purpose and the event on our website below.
If you are interested and want to sign your children up for the fair, you can do so via the Google Form attached to the QR code below. In order to fill out the Google Form, you must sign in to your students Frisco ISD Google Account.
Their email ID is: firstname.lastname.last 3 digits of student id number@k12.friscoisd.org. The password is their 8 digit birthday. For example, if their birthday is March 8, 2004, the password would be 03082004.
Using this login, you will be able to access the Google Form
and some basic information will be requested.
Sincerely,
The Frisco Ignite Team
