PTA Reflections
Introduce your little one to the arts
What is Reflections?
It's a program created by the National PTA to showcase and introduce students Pre-K through 12th grade to the Arts. Each year they determine a theme and encourage students to "reflect" on it to create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
2015 National PTA Reflections Video: Let Your Imagination Fly!
2015 - 2016 Theme:
"Let your imagination fly..."
Created by Rachel Sperry of Northwood, N.D. When asked what inspired her theme, Rachel said, "I tell myself to let my imagination fly when writing and sketching." It helps her to explore her imagination and she hopes it will inspire others to be creative.
What does this theme mean to you? What can you Imagine?

Last year's city reception and winners
When you submit your entry, it's judged by a panel of 3 mysterious art lovers who are not affiliated with the school. In other words, the judges aren't teachers or administration because they would give 1st place to EVERYONE! After the Sherwood judging, the top 3 in each category are sent to the City Council PTA, who has their own judging. Meanwhile, Mrs. Rosa uploads the top 3 entries to the State PTA, who conducts their own judging. If they place at the State level, the entry is then forwarded to the National PTA judging. It's quite a process, but your artwork is judged on a school, city-wide, state-wide and national level!
