Read below for important information!
Bobcat Families,
I know you have a lot of questions and concerns regarding the opening of school on August 17th. Our staff is working as quickly as we can to plan for instruction while maintaining a safe, healthy environment. Information will be sent to parents as soon as it is available.
We will begin the year under Plan B on 8/17/20. Under Plan B, we’ll have two cohorts (A-Blue & B-Gold). Blue Team will be on campus Mon/Tue. Gold Team will be on campus Thur/Fri. Wednesday, while we deep clean & prepare, all students will work remotely. To enable all students to fully participate in virtual learning, all students will be given a device to take home for their virtual learning days.
Review activities will be on your teacher's webpage for Cohort B to do on August 17-19 if they have a device and are able to do so before coming to RES on August 20..
The Revised 2020-21 school calendar is below. Additionally, there is a Student Information Form below that we need filled out for each student. This will help us get materials, such as car tags, to you as soon as possible.
Virtual Open House: Each teacher will have a video on their web page to welcome students on Thursday, August 13. On the RES website, go to staff and find your teacher's name.
Please be patient as we work through all these changes. Do not hesitate to call the school if you have concerns or questions. The Bobcats will make the best of this situation! Although things will be a little different, we can't wait to see your students back on campus! We all certainly appreciate your flexibility and support!

STAGGERED DISMISSAL **NEW**
In efforts to maintain appropriate social distancing during dismissal, our Kindergarten and first grade car riders will dismiss at 3:15 in the morning drop-off area in front of the main entrance. The only exception is that Kinder and 1st grade students who have siblings in grades 2-5, will dismiss with their older siblings. There will be signs and staff out front to guide parents into the correct drop-off lane. Any Kinder and 1st grade students who are not picked up in the front lane by 3:30 will be taken to the cafeteria to dismiss with the older grades.
Students in grades 2-5 who are car riders will be dismissed at 3:30 in front of the cafeteria. Again, there will be signs and staff out front to assist.
For all grades, please make sure your car tag is visible.
All buses will leave campus at approximately 3:35.
Meals
All students will receive free breakfast and lunch through August 31. However, don't delay in applying for free and reduced lunch. If your student was on free or reduced meals last year, their status is only good for 30 days.
Breakfast:
4th and 5th graders will need to go directly to the cafeteria upon arrival, get their breakfast, and take it to the classroom.
K-3 students should report directly to the classroom upon arrival. :Breakfast will be taken to their hallway immediately after the tardy bell.
Nutrition Hubs:
Nutrition hub at RES will begin Monday, August 17 and will include breakfast and lunch. The nutrition hub will be serving from 8:45-10:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays and from 8:45-11:45 on Wednesdays so that students can still receive meals on their remote learning days. Please do not arrive before 8:45 for the nutrition hub as it will congest our morning car drop-off.
