Safety and Security at Ferson Creek
I wanted to take a minute to remind parents about specific safety procedures that we have here in District 303 and at Ferson Creek. Last summer our office underwent a major renovation so that enhanced security measures could be installed at our main entrance. We have two sets of locking doors at our main entrance. During the school day, we ask that visitors come to the main school entrance, press the buzzer, stand in front of the camera before identifying themselves and providing the reason for their visit. Visitors will be buzzed into the vestibule by school staff. Frequently, our office staff will be able to assist you while you are in the vestibule. Please know that this enhanced security practice is done to help keep our building as safe as possible. In the event that you would need to enter the office, you will be buzzed through the second set of doors. All parents and visitors that will be entering other parts of the building will need to have their driver's license scanned and wear the temporary ID given to them by the office staff. Thank you for your understanding of our procedures as we work to keep Ferson safe.
