"What a SWEET Week" please sign up December 5-9 and December 12-16
Let’s continue with our wonderful tradition of “What a Sweet Week”! In order to enjoy this festive last days of the year, please join in on the fun by signing up for one or more of the “12 Days of Christmas” sweets galore. (10 days) The sign-up sheets will be posted outside by the office.
Dec. 5-A Partridge in a Pear Tree
Be fruity and joyful, and let’s start with healthy desserts
*Fresh fruit, fruit salads or cakes with fruit (upside-down pineapple cake)
Dec. 6-Two Turtledoves
Spread a little peace and sweetness with your favorite cookies.
Dec, 7-Three French Hens
French people love bread, I think. Treat others with any type of pastries.
Dec. 8- Four Calling Birds
Bake or buy your favorite mix to munch on.
Dec. 9-Five Golden Rings
Brighten someone’s day with a “Golden” sweet donut.
Dec. 12-Six Geese A-Laying
Nothing warms up the heart better than a freshly baked custard. No time? No problem! Cheese cakes, Chocó-flan, flan…
Dec. 13- Seven Swans A –Swimming
Waiting on a white, wonderful, winterish day. All wonderful white desserts are welcome. Powdered donuts, white chocolate mix, white chocolate macadamia cookies…
Dec. 14- Eight Maids A-Milking
Milk is the essence of many prized desserts, so feel free to bring your favorite dessert.
Dec. 15- Nine Ladies Dancing
They aren't quite ladies, but Gingerbread men cookies spice up any day. Lady finger desserts will also do justice to this festive song.
Dec. 16-10 Lords A-Leaping
Your taste buds deserve to leap for joy. Your Grade level is the best show it by bringing a Team dessert
Positive Communication Logs
The Admin team will also be making positive phone calls. We will choose a grade level a week. This week is FIRST GRADE teachers please send an email by end of day Thursday with names of a student you would like the team to contact. (Mrs. A, Mrs. Cadet, Ms. Rose, Mrs. Whipple, Ms. Gray, Mrs. Morales, Mrs. Lara, Ms. Aldridge, Mr. Beard, Ms. Wallace).

*** Staff Winter Party will be in the cafeteria right after school on December 21st, deserts and coffee will be provided. We will have a "white elephant exchange" as well. Beginning around 5:00 we will go to Cristina's to continue our get together for anyone that would like to join us!
If you are receiving absences on Feb. 3 or Feb. 21 this is for the second day of Momentous training that we are registering for you. More info to come!

- All in Learning and DOL Expectation:
****The expectation is that ALL staff utilize all in learning a minimum of twice weekly*****
The expectation is all staff is utilizing All in Learning, and moving towards moving assignments into the progress tracker (2 DOL's a week) and assigning a TEK from the standards.
- CLAY Leadership program is not optional. These volunteers have given up their time to come and teach leadership traits to our students. This is an honor! Please accept the volunteers with open arms, and assist if possible. Teachers do need to stay in the room during the lesson, try and work the trait they are discussing into your weekly teachings.
-Recess
-Friendly reminder that recess cannot be taken from a student according to district policy. Remember to utilize GoNoodle!
-Please make sure all staff members are strategically placed all around the playground area and actively monitoring during recess.

DISD Board Goals:
- All students will exhibit satisfactory or above performance on state assessments.
Students below satisfactory performance will demonstrate more than one year of
academic growth. - Dallas ISD schools will be the primary choice for families in the district.
- The achievement gap by race, ethnicity and socio-economic status will be no greater than 10 percentage points on all academic measures.
- Ninety-five percent of students will graduate. Ninety percent of the graduates will qualify for community college, college, military, or industry certification.
- Ninety-five percent of students entering kindergarten will be school-ready based on a multidimensional assessment.
- All students will participate in at least one extracurricular or co-curricular activity each year.
