Out of Adoption Textbooks

We will be receiving the extra large Gaylord boxes in the next couple of weeks to store all of the out of adoption textbooks. Books that are out of adoption are as follows:

  • Grades K-4 – Music – McGraw Hill – Spotlight on Music & Quaver
  • Grades K-4 – Drama Works, Point Click Teach
  • Grades K-4 – Davis (print edition) Explorations, Arts Attack
  • Grades K-12 – Digital Art Image Subscription

You will be able to put all materials that go along with these resources in the boxes AND can put other ancillary materials, samples, old dictionaries, etc. in the Gaylord boxes to help you potentially clear out some extra space in your classroom or storage room.

2015-2016 School Year ~ What's Happening or What's New?

Master Schedule

Thank you to all of the teams for providing continuous feedback regarding the Master Schedule for next year. As I have shared in all of our meetings this week, it is a work in progress. The original copy and the second draft are still in the revision phase as I will continue to tweak a few things. Your team leader may have the answer to a question you have however please know that you can continue to come to me or Jane for help. Here is what will stay in place with the master schedule for next year:

  • 50 minutes of Co-curr/Conference/Planning
  • 20 minutes of recess
  • 20-30 minutes of Cowboy Time for interventions, flexible grouping, and/or Pull Outs. (not for study hall, extra recess or DEAR time)
  • Co-curr will not have a morning or afternoon duty so that they can help cover in the cafe during lunches.

KHES Calendar

The KHES Calendar has been updated for the 2015-2016 school year. Team leaders helped add many of our regularly scheduled events and some new ones to the calendar. Campus PD and District PD dates have been added as well. Topics will be added at a future date.

Campus Improvement Plan goals

Based on your feedback from "The One Thing", our goals next year will focus on the following areas:

  • Writing Across the Curriculum
  • Guided Reading
  • Our Instructional Rounds Problem of Practice
