A Note From the Teacher
Dear Parents,
The children have really enjoyed our unit on penguins! We researched penguins through books and even on the internet. Did you know that there are many different types of penguins and that they live in Africa, Antarctica, Australia, New Zealand, and South America? We also discovered that the Emperor Penguin is the largest penguin and the Little Blue (AKA…Fairy Penguin) is the smallest. The children worked with partners to explain some of the facts we have learned about penguins:
- How do penguins move?
- How do penguins eat and what do they eat?
- How do penguins protect themselves from the cold and/or from other predators?
Thank you as always for all your help and support this year as we continue on our kindergarten journey! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Don't forget to curl up with a good book
Laura
