NWEA MAP Growth

The week of January 18th, students in Kinder-5th grade will be taking the NWEA MAP Growth Assessement. The assessment provides educators information to support students in the classroom. Throughout this week, teachers are goal setting with students based on their Fall MAP Growth score. Each student's goal is to show growth from the beginning of the year. Ask your child how they are going to work to show growth on the MAP assessment. Shortly after the testing window closes, the MAP Parent Report will be emailed to parents.

I hope this finds you all well and warm!

  • Our "Essential 36" manner of the week: "Be polite and hold the door open for others.”

  • In PEACE classes, students are continuing to participate in the BISD’s initiative, “7 Mindsets”, specifically “Attitude of Gratitude.” Students will learn to turn problems or negative situations around. They will also surprise others around the school with thank-you notes, as well as identify people in the school community whom we should thank.

  • For more fun family activities around the area, click on the "Fort Worth Kids Out and About" newsletter. You can also sign up for their weekly newsletter.

  • More family activities: CityFest, Burleson: This is a free opportunity for the public to engage with city officials and city departments.
