Halloween Fun!
Costumes- Students are welcome to come to school in costumes on Thursday, October 29th. Please follow these simple guidelines when choosing a costume:
- Costumes should be appropriate for school and must not interfere with the learning environment
- Make up is welcome, but should be applied before school
- Cloth masks are still required to be worn--Think about creative ways to incorporate it into your costume!
- No weapons or excessive fake blood -- we don't want our little ones getting scared by other students' costumes!
Activities- We have some fun activities planned for the day aligned with our COVID health safety guidelines. Students will have the opportunity to show-off their costumes and participate in a school wide game.
Homecoming Spirit Week!
In efforts to make things feel a bit more normal we will have a Homecoming Spirit Week! Spirit Week will be held the week on November 2nd leading up to the last HOME football game on November 6th at 1pm.
The Spirit Week activities will be determined by our Student Council this week, so stay tuned for the specifics!
End of First Quarter
The end of the first marking period is Thursday, November 5th. Please be sure you are checking your student's grades in ALMA and communicating with teachers about any questions or concerns. Quarter grades will be posted soon after that date and report cards will be available. As a reminder, each quarter grade is factored into the overall semester grade which is part of the student's transcript.
Totes for Hope
Totes for Hope are being delivered at all of our school buildings every Thursday. If you are interested in having your child bring home staple foods each week courtesy of the South Park Food Bank, please send Cindy Shane (cindy.shane@parkcountyre2.org) a quick email containing your child's name and grade level.
Reminders for Staying Healthy
As we continue to see Covid-19 cases rise all around us, it's important to be reminded of the things we can do to help keep our community healthy and our school doors open. We have been very fortunate that we've been able to stay open and want to keep it that way. Please talk to your child about doing their part to help keep South Park healthy! Please remind your child of the following:
- Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 30 seconds.
- If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer or antiseptic wipes.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Be mindful of physically distancing yourself from others.
- Wear a mask- cover your nose and mouth when around others.
