Vernfield's Holiday Program

We are thrilled to present to you the Holiday Giving Program at Vernfield. It is that time of the year when families often inquire how they can help children or families in need in the Vernfield Community. We greatly appreciate the spirit of wanting to help others!

This year during Conference Week (see below for link), we will have an online sign up where you can sign up for clothing or toy items. Additionally, there will be a gift card option for a Walmart Gift Card or Grocery Store Gift Card. If you choose to participate, we ask that all gifts are returned to Vernfield wrapped with the item number assigned to it by Friday, December 9th.

In advance, we thank you all for helping us to brighten the holidays for our own Vernfield Families and wish you a wonderful and joyous holiday season!

If you have any questions please reach out to Nicole Wagner, School Counselor at or 215-721-0606.

The Book Fair Has Started!

The fall book fair is currently being held in the library at Vernfield until 12/2. If you would like to add money to your child's e-wallet to purchase books (rather than sending a check or cash), please do so by clicking on the following link:

There are still some volunteer slots available to assist Mrs. Lightstone. Volunteers help children look for books that are age appropriate, find books with their allotted money, and help run the cash register once kids are ready to purchase books.

We ask to please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled time to allow time to sign in at the front office and make your way to the library. Volunteers need to have their clearances up-to-date.

Only One More Week To Submit Yearbook Cover Contest Entries

Every year the Vernfield Yearbook Committee runs a Yearbook cover contest for students. This year, the due date for all contest entries is Monday, November 28th.

Students in grades K - 4th are invited to submit original artwork to be voted on for the back cover of the Yearbook.

5th grade students are invited to submit artwork for consideration for the front cover of the yearbook.

Please see the accompanying flyers for more information and reach out to the Yearbook Committee at with any questions.

The Vernfield Holiday Shop is Coming Soon

From 12/5 - 12/8, Vernfield is excited to be hosting The Lil’ Shopper’s Shop® where children can pick out their own holiday gifts for their family and friends.

The shop is set up and run by parent volunteers and all gifts are priced from 25¢ to $5.00. There are gifts for parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, aunts/uncles and even pets!

Shopping budget envelopes listing your child's scheduled shopping day will come home with your children prior to the week of the shop. You may send cash or purchase a gift certificate for the shop at

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Alexandra Ricketts at, Lisa Mallon at or Julie Kinch at

Join Santa in the Greenhouse!

The SAVE Greenhouse Growers invite you to join them for their annual Santa in the Greenhouse event in the greenhouse at Souderton Area High School on Saturday, December 10th from 9am-1pm.

Students can visit with and take pictures with Santa.

Hot chocolate, cookies and other goodies will be available for purchase, as well as poinsettias and amaryllis plants at a reasonable price. More information can be found in the accompanying flyer.

Hope you can make it!
