2nd Grade VAULT Nominations Now Open!
HELP NEEDED!
In your conversations at home this week, can you help us reinforce the meaning of "deposit" and "withdrawal"? We are working with this rich academic language in order to build financial literacy in our little learners! Thank you!
This is a great foldable found online that might help you with kid-friendly definitions.
if you would like to nominate your child to be tested for the VAULT program, you can pick up a form in the VAES office. If you can't make it to the office, just contact your child's teacher and she will be glad to pick up one for you and send it home with your learner.

One strategy we might use to add three-digit numbers is decomposing them and writing them in expanded form. Then, it makes it a bit easier to add them. Here's an example so you can see what strategy your learner might be using.
