News Update
12 January 2015
I hope that you have had a good week back. For those of you involved directly with students, please ensure that every student has been contacted if they have not been to a class this week, even
if they have not been to a class this week, even if they have phoned in ill – we all need a bit of extra energy and motivation during these dark mornings – and the ‘prize’ of achievement and progression can seem a long way off when it’s January. A text, phone call or email can help to keep students on track. Do let your manager or the relevant LSM know if you need some help with this.
2015 Update
The contractors, Clugstons, worked extra days over the Christmas period in order to make up for the slight delay in the build. The snow came at a good time, during the shutdown period. The steelwork has gone up and is due to be completed this week. They are just working on the end section now, where the theatre will be.
Meanwhile, we are moving to proceed with the sale of Norton College and have engaged SMC to manage this for us. Sale boards will be going up on site at the end of January with a national advert in the Estates Gazette. We wait to see the level of interest in the property and I’ll keep you informed.
