Colors of Rock and Roll Concert
Your class is invited to attend the fall concert, Colors of Rock and Roll, this Thursday, October 17th at 1:30.
3rd grade – since the concert will commence during your specials time, please bring your students to specials at regular time. Please keep them in your class lines and the specials team will get them seated and squared away in the cafeteria. This will help when you return at 1:55. At that time we will need you to meet us in the cafeteria and take over monitoring your students, as the specials team will need to transfer focus to monitoring the 5th graders.
4th grade – pick up from specials at normal time. Please have students seated and ready in the cafeteria no later than 1:20. The coaches and Ms. Davis will be present to guide you to your seats.
5th grade – please have students report to the music room by 1:05 to get them ready and warmed up. The concert will commence promptly at 1:30. The 5th grade will sing first, then choir. We will need your assistance monitoring your students before and during the performance. At 1:55 you are welcome to take your conference and the specials team will take over the 5th grade classes for concert monitoring and dismissal till 2:45.
Please remember to remind your students of appropriate audience behavior and expectations. Also, please make sure to have close proximity to your class to handle any behavior issues that could distract the performers or other members of the audience.

Highland Park Bulldog Dash!
This year’s PTO-sponsored fundraiser is the HIGHLAND PARK BULLDOG DASH! It’s a two-week program that kicks off with a Pep Rally on Wednesday, November 6th. Families will then gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 short laps) at the Bulldog Dash, which will happen on Friday, November 15. This year our goal is to raise $23,000 for new laptops (grades 2-5) and iPads (Pegasus – 1st) and we need your help! Just like last year, we’ve partnered with the experts at Booster (formerly Boosterthon) to power our fundraiser to make it easier, more profitable, and more fun.
Students will also experience an amazing character theme, MINDSPARK: WILD WEST! Booster’s most exciting theme yet combines S.T.E.A.M. skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) with character-building. While they're teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to save Dr. Shock, our students will learn five character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world.
Donations will go toward upgrading our technology needs on-campus, so please help our school by getting pledges from family and friends and entering them on FUNRUN.COM as early as October 30th. Also, all families are invited to come out and cheer on our students at the Bulldog Dash. Volunteer opportunities will also be available. Thanks so much for your support!
